Join Matt Orsie and the Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy for a workshop on butterflies where Orsie will introduce the wonderful world of our scaled friends to anyone seeking to learn more about identifying and appreciating these remarkable creatures. The main topics to be covered are: Introduction to butterflies, Life cycle, Identification, and Common species in our area. The workshop will begin with a classroom session at the Blue Ridge Center, immediately followed by a field trip, weather permitting. Participants should wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring along water, bug spray, sunscreen and a snack if desired. This is a great precursor to the Butterfly Count three weeks later! Limit: 15 signups. Registration required.
