Building Bridges

As Kincora continues to take shape, we are dedicated to providing a welcoming community where nature, culture, art and commerce merge to create a friendly atmosphere of connection and discovery. To accomplish this, we are currently developing the infrastructure to make it happen.

As our way of giving back to the greater Loudoun County community, we have provided funding to build the bridge you may have seen under construction from Nokes Boulevard, just as you cross over Route 28. This roadway will soon connect Loudoun County Parkway with Pacific Boulevard. Gloucester Parkway, as it will be known, will be a major new asset to the area. It will alleviate heavy traffic volumes on Route 28, Loudoun County Parkway and Waxpool Road, while also providing an easier way for people to get to Route 7 from the Ashburn area.

This $40-million project is set to be completed in fall of 2016 and includes a 0.8-mile, four-lane divided bridge over Broad Run, traffic signals at its intersections with Loudoun County Parkway and Pacific Boulevard, as well as trail and sidewalk improvements along its length.

We are excited to be delivering this regional infrastructure improvement concurrent with the first phase of development at Kincora. By fostering needed roads before building our community, we are helping to make living and commuting a little easier in Loudoun County – now and in the future. Adding new transportation corridors in the area is our way of planting Kincora’s roots. As we cultivate the property that will eventually offer a variety of exciting destinations, we are proud to provide these additional benefits to our district.

We’d also like to thank the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors for their support on this project.

When we officially open the bridge later this year, we will host a big celebration and hope you’ll attend! Check back as we get closer for more details, and follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for updates.
